You're a busy person - what can you do?
Come and find out what PACE is doing - We have an open meeting every first Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm, the venue may change and will be published for each on News and Events Everyone is welcome. You can join in and listen to what events and projects are planned, or contribute your ideas, or sign up for any of the projects which are currently running. Most Projects have a WhatsApp Group for those involved. Follow us on Facebook: PACE (Practical Actions for Climate and Environment) Manningtree. PACE call for Trustees
As you know PACE Manningtree is a Registered Charity and is therefore required to have a board of up to 15 Trustees to oversee the work of the Charity. With some of our Trustees reaching the end of their fixed term (3 years) and with only 11 Trustees anyway, we are looking for new people to take on Trustee roles.
Would you be interested in joining the board; becoming a vital part of PACE; helping guide PACE forwards? Why not have an informal chat with one of the Trustees to find out more about the role? It is really valuable and worthwhile work, so please consider joining us.
So, what does that entail and what skills will you need? Whilst there are specific skills and experience that are useful, the core skills required are common sense, imagination, commitment and leadership. Anything else is a bonus!
You will also, of course, need to want to care for our environment and have a desire to help us all take action to preserve it and our climate. Following a skills audit of the current Trustees, we recognise that we would benefit from more Trustees with finance, fundraising, IT and campaigning skills or experience but, above all, we need people available to meet as a Board once every two months, to provide leadership of the charity and its activities, to take their Trustee role seriously and to enjoy doing so.

If you think you might be interested in joining us, email manningtreepace@gmail.com and we will get in touch
Best wishes from
PACE Manningtree
